2011 Plans!
First and foremost we are focusing on fairway
development and course playability. What this means is our
focus will be on vastly improving the growth of fairway grass
and repairing sparse areas. We will be roping off many of these
areas so be patient with some obstacles from time to time.
Course playability will focus on mounding some of the hazards,
example the pond on the right side of number 9 off the tee. The
goal here is to make a few holes more playable for all level of
players, and not have as many decent shots find hazards. You
will notice these changes as positives.
We are having our entire cart fleet redone, which will
rid us of dying carts and other issues. There basically will be
60 brand new carts.
Other plans include continuing to work on sand quality and
rough development. We will keep our website updated as these
changes take place.
New for 2011!
We have combined both our Men’s Clubs together. The
weekday and weekend players will have the option to play in
events as they choose. This will improve field size and
enjoyment for all. More players = more money and more
winners! If you know of someone interested in the leagues,
please pass on league information to them, or call me with
questions. I am always willing to contact anyone that may have
questions regarding how the leagues work.
Also new in 2011: Riverwood National VS Pebble Creek!
I have lined up a competition between us and Pebble Creek in a
fun 2-Day event. Saturday Best Ball and Sunday Match Play! This
will likely take place the 3rd week in May. We will also have a
2-Day 3 Player Scramble in September at Riverwood and Pebble
Creek. Look for more information on both. The Fall event will
have a Net and Gross Division. The Spring event will play as a
handicapped event pairing those with similar handicaps.
I am around most of the winter, so feel free to contact me at
the club anytime.
Best Wishes,
